Rub the surface you want to clean with a cloth dipped in a solution of three parts ammonia and one part water and you will be surprised by the results.

- Alcohol: It is useful for removing lipstick, felt-tip pen and grass stains from upholstery. The procedure is to surround the stain with talcum powder and then wet it with alcohol reduced to one part of water for every three of the volatile substance. In the case of trying to clean glass and tiles, mix it with glass cleaner and water in equal parts.
- Baking soda: It is very effective in bleaching yellow stains that appear on white tablecloths. To do this, dissolve three tablespoons of baking soda in a liter of hot water, leave the tablecloth or napkin to soak for half an hour and you will see the result. Mixed dry with washing machine detergent and talc, it helps to clean upholstery and absorbs grease stains.
- Lemon: The pure juice of this citrus is used to remove recent rust stains on fabrics, ceramic floors and toilets. Also whitens yellow and ink stains, and brightens metals.
- Salt: The crystals of this essential ingredient in any kitchen are used to prevent clogging in sinks and bad odors. If you dissolve it in water and let the solution act for at least an hour, you will be able to whiten the curtains.

It’s good for cleaning wood and terrazzo, and it will also help you unclog your shower if you soak it overnight in a solution of equal parts water and vinegar.
